The Rotary Central Vidyarambam Nursery and Primary School celebrated its 6th Annual Day on Wednesday the April 09, 2014. This day of celebration and culmination of all school activities of the academic year 2013-14, was marked by cultural performances by the children followed by prize distribution for all events that happened throughout the year. Two alumni girl students gave an excellent dance performance. It was heartening to see that they came forward of their own to perform with an affinity towards their old school and their masters.

The event was presided by Mr. J. Krishna Prasad, Management Consultant from Chennai. Ramabalan, Principal, EGS Pillay Engineering College, Nagapattinam presented the Medals, Trophies and Certificates to all the 6 students. He went to the extent of saying that sometime he would suggest the teaching staff of his college to visit Vidyarambam school and observe the functioning of its Akkas (Teachers) in the class rooms and see for themselves the uniqueness in their handling the students.

The students of class 5 administered the oath of excellence to their juniors in class 4 who will be carrying the mantle next year. The Revolving Trophy was ceremoniously handed over to the juniors. The guests of honour addressed the gathering cheering and congratulating the students as well as the teachers for the excellent work put in. The school Assistant Headmistress Miss. Sathya presented the school annual report. The founder of Vidyarambam Sri. Ranganathan recounted the history of the school and the tough times that it had gone through in the past. Mrs. Punitha, the head of the Parent Teachers Association applauded all the teachers for their dedication towards their work and the convincing development of the students that they teach. The air was filled with the spirit of bonhomie and enthusiasm displayed by the Vidyarambam community (students, school teachers, parents, district heads of VT and other well-wishers).
