Objective

Provide free education for a deserving child for ONE YEAR IN ENGLISH MEDIUM PRIMARY SCHOOL

Why the need to help?

Orphans or semi orphans among Tsunami affected children of fishermen families in Nagapattinam (3 to 6 year olds) have not been exposed to modern education. Parents aspire to admit their children in an English medium school and need financial help.

Candidates' Profile

These children do not have exposure of a similar urban child in terms of knowledge and skills. They lack several life skills. Since the parents belong to socially backward community they cannot dream of English medium education for their children.

After you help what will happen to the child ?

The child would get admitted in “The Rotary Central Vidyarambam Nursery and Primary School” run by Vidyarambam which gives English medium education in metric system of syllabus adopting play-way methodology. The school is equipped with spacious class rooms with modern amenities, library for books and toys, activity centre for computer learning, mathematics corner, science practical, yoga exercise, art and culture and in-door out-door games with modern play equipment.

The child would not be a shy rural child anymore. He would be ready to meet any challenge in the process of learning. He would be as good as an urban child excelling in all skills appropriate to his age.

At our English Medium Rotary Vidyarambam School in Tsunami affected district of Nagapattinam, our goal is to provide an education of such a quality equal to or more than that of any reputed Public School in India which may be charging more than 1000 dollars per year per child.

What would be the UNIT cost?

Rs. 9000/- per child per year.

You can sponsor as many children as you can upto a maximum of ten children.
