Aircel donates Mobile Toy Van
Aircel Limited, New Delhi came forward to donate a Mobile Toy Library to be used in Nagapattinam District for showing toys and games to students in Govt. Primary schools.

The  launching program of  donating a new Mobile Toy Library was held at Nagapattinam on June 26th 2009.  The events started with the cultural program performed by the children of Rotary Vidyarambam School, Nagapattinam.  Ms. Brinda Malhotra, Head of CSR, Aircel Limited, New Delhi gave the welcome address.

Mr. K.V.P. Baskaran, Operations Director, Southern Region of Aircel Limited presided over the proceedings and formally handed over the vehicle to Mr. V. Ranganathan, President, Vidyarambam Trust in the presence of Mr. R. Veerasamy, District Chief Educational Officer and Mrs. K. Anbazhagi, District Social Welfare Officer of Nagapattinam District.

Many dignitaries like Rtn. N. Govindaraj, District Governor , Rotary District, Nagapattinam,  Mr. Ramdas, S. Rahate, G.M. Support Services,  ONGC,  Karaikal, Ms. Aparna Malik, Manager CSR, Aircel Limited, New Delhi, Mr. Abhishek Chaturvedi, CAF, New Delhi and many dealers of  Aircel  attended the function.

The trustees of Viyarambam  Mr. J. Vijay, Mr. V. Sriram and Dr. K.R. Subramanian also attended the proceedings.

Mr. K.V.P. Baskaran said in his address that there are many philanthropic individuals and corporate managers who look for NGOs who will utilize the donations properly and ensure the value reaches the targeted beneficiaries.  Having found the Vidyarambam Trust such as one, Aircel has come forward to provide support for the cause of education.

While giving vote of thanks, Mr. Ranganathan narrated the growth of Vidyarambam since its inception in the year 2002 and how it has maintained a quality while serving the cause of education for the under privileged children.
