With a view to give an experience of interaction for the children of the Model School with the children of the Learning Centers of Vidyarambam, a visit was arranged on 27.03.2010 form the center at Thirunagari, Sirkali Union.

Ms. Kavitha the District Coordinator, Ms. Gayatri the tutor of the center and a couple of Assessors brought 8 girls and 9 boys to the School at Nagapattinam in a van. The visiting children were the students of class 4 and 5. The school children gave a cheerful welcome to the visitors. They joined the Assembly at 9.30 a.m.

After the Assembly, the visiting children were taken to the classes and allowed to interact with the school children for about 20 minutes in each class. It was an interesting learning experience for both set of children right through the day.

Children from both sides enacted small dramas, gave speeches in Tamil and English, sang songs, performed group as well as individual dances, drew pictures on the black board. In STD I, Birth Day was celebrated for a child in which the visiting children participated. The visiting children used the play equipments both indoor and outdoor and enjoyed very much.

At the end of the day, the School children gave a warm send off to the visiting students and presented them with greeting cards.
