The Republic Day was celebrated on January 26 at the Rotary Central Vidyarambam Nursery & Primary School at Nagapattinam.  The National flag was hoisted at 8.15 a.m.  by Mr. Parasuraman a resident at the old age home of Annai Satya Tsunami Rehabilitation Centre. All the 152 out of 158 children were present and a few parents attended the function.

Three children in the attire of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahakavi Barathiyar presented sweets to all other children.  The occasion was enjoyed by everyone.
