| Mr. SriSridharan, from the US offers to volunteer for Vidyarambam |

Mr. SriSridharan is a successful retired executive for more than two decades in the United States. He and his family are settled in the US. Having retired, he has plans to visit India frequently. SriSridharan, a supporter of Vidyarambam from the United States has offered to volunteer his services to Vidyarambam whenever he will be in India. He visited our Rotary Central Vidyarambam Nursery and Primary School in Nagapattinam on 24-11-2009 and had a close observation of the children and gained first hand information about the functioning of the school. Then on 25-11-2009 Srisridharan visited two VIII STD classes of the Govt. Higher Secondary School at Thirunagari in which more than 40 students each class are given 5 month Easy Learning English course by Vidyarambam. The school authorities requested Mr. SriSridharan to plant a tree as a memory of his visit to the school. Then we moved to a nearby Panchayat Union Primary school and witnessed the Support Class Senior in progress. In the same school Srisridharan observed the Mobile Toy Library in action engaging about 50 children absorbed in educational games and toys. Then in the afternoon he visited one of the VIII STD classes of the Govt. School at Nemmeli in which more than 30 students are given 5 month Easy Learning English course by Vidyarambam. He interacted with the students in English giving a glimpse of his personal success story and exhorted them to equip themselves with good education. He appreciated the good understanding by the students of the basic grammar of the language which is the result of 3 months effort of the specially trained English tutors from Vidyarambam. Mr. Ranganathan, President of Vidyarambam, Mrs. Prema Daniel and Mrs. Uma Chandrashekhar the faculties Ms. Kavitha the District Coordinator, Ms. Savitha the English Tutor and a few assessors accompanied Mr. SriSridharan. |
