It is our aim that every child in a village that has a Vidyarambam center will attend school and study well.
Vidyarambam's initial aim was to provide pre-primary education to children of 3 to 5 age group. But now, the Trust also provides support classes through the L2R and R2L programmes for school children of 7 to 12 age group who are found weak in skill of fast reading and working simple arithmetic.
Vidyarambam has also growingly recognised the need for education in basic healthcare in rural areas. It has started giving orientation to its volunteers about Ayurveda. In the Annual Meet held in Chennai in 2005, Doctors Ms. Annapoorna, Ms. Alamelumangai and Mr. T.M. Mukundan from Sanjeevani Ayurveda Foundation, Chennai, introduced Ayurveda one of the Indian Systems of Medicine and explained the basics of the constitution of lives on earth, especially the human beings and showed how maintaining the composition of the body (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in its balanced proportion, one can live hundred years healthily and happily without any disease.
Vidyarambam will further the cause of health care through Ayurveda in the coming years.
